The Southern Arizona Roadrunners is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting health and fitness in Tucson and Southern Arizona through running and walking.

Our vision is to strengthen and support the running and walking community in Southern Arizona through high-quality, affordable, and family-friendly events and programming that empower people of all backgrounds, abilities, and ages to pursue a healthier lifestyle. We promote community engagement by celebrating the joy of athletic achievement, individual and group participation, philanthropy, and volunteer service.

Southern Arizona Roadrunners began the FitKidz running program in 2013 in order to provide experiences that start children on a path of being physically active for life. Many of you know about our ‘Spirit of Rob Bell Award’ given to an outstanding member of our running community each year. The award is named after Rob Bell who loved running and celebrating runners of all abilities.Here is a glimpse into his story and his service to others. We were proud to know him.Today we honor William Robert Bell III of Tucson, Arizona. Today is William's birthday, he served in the Marine Corps, and is remembered by his sister, Wanda:"A son, a brother, husband, dad, grandpa and uncle gone way too soon.
