The 25th annual running of Dave’s Run for ALS took place today on a wonderful fall morning in Southern Arizona.
A great time was had by all, and this year we brought back Dave’s Double, with about 32 folks racing both the 8K and the 5K in the same morning! Congrats to everyone who completed the double!
We also had an amazing FitKidz mile event with about 50 little ones taking the challenge!
Many thanks to all of our incredible volunteers, Pima County, and all of our sponsors, including The Running Shop, TMC Healthcare, Smith Performance Center, The Damion Alexander Team with Long Realty, and Eegee’s.
As for the racing, the 8K winners on the men’s side were Joey Lee, Seth Dave, and Tyler Fischer. On the women’s side, the winners were Jori Galles (who was also second overall in the event), MariKate Murphy, and Jennifer Peters. The masters overall titles were won by Brian Leroy and Marjanne Magana.
For the 5K, the winners on the men’s side were Cary Kelly, Brian Leroy, and Dave Dixon. For the women, the winners were MariKate Murphy, Claire Hans, and Laura Reddock. The masters overall titles were taken by Craig Mills and Line Lauritsen.
In the FitKidz mile, the top three spots in the race were taken by Allison Simmons, Oscar Ajanovic, and Atlas Lazos. Way to go!
Until next year, thanks again to all the amazing folks who made this event such a great success.
