It was a beautiful morning at Curtis Park for the 2026 edition of the Desert Leprechaun 5K & Mile benefiting the Children of Fallen Officers, and we had an amazing turnout with about 500 finishers even though we weren’t downtown this year! Thanks so much to everyone who was able to come out and run, walk or volunteer with us today!
We owe a huge thank you to so many folks. First, our fantastic volunteers. We appreciate you all more than you know. Second, to the St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade Committee, you were wonderful to work with again this year. And, thirdly, to our amazing sponsors, The Running Shop, The Damion Alexander Team with Long Realty, and Celsius LiveFit Energy Drinks.
SAR is proud that this event supports the Children of Fallen Officers Fund, and we truly appreciate your helping us do so by your participation today.
The men’s race was won by Jose Delgado in a very speedy time which might be a course record (15:33). We will have to check that. Jose was followed by Neil Lenneman in second place (16:24) and Beau Pullman in third place (16:37). The men’s master’s winner was Lucas Tyler (18:35), owner of our steadfast sponsor and top local running supporter, The Running Shop.
The women’s race was won by Stephanie Pierce (17:49). In second place was Line Lauritsen (21:00) and in third place we congratulate Shaelyn Delgado (21:52). The women’s Master’s winner was Marjanne Magana (22:12)
