We hope to return to our Downtown Tucson course in 2027 and that the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival is back! We will keep you all updated on the status.

The 5K will be a part of The Running Shop SAR Grand Prix

THE 5K AT THE DESERT LEPRECHAUN EVENT IS A PART OF THE SAR RUNNING SHOP GRAND PRIX!!!***

Please join us to help support the Children of Fallen Officers at a fun St. Patrick's Day themed event!

Here's just some of what you can look forward to:

Totally unique, custom finisher medal (5K only and while supplies last)
Custom race shirts (5K and 1 Mile only and while supplies last)
St. Patrick's Day Costume contest with a special gift to the winners!
St. Patrick's Day themed prizes for the 5K in 5 year age groups from 15 - 80, along with 1-14 and 80+
St. Patrick's Day bling for all finishers!

Fees and Registration

$35 - August 1, 2026 - November 30, 2026

Free - Ages 3 and under
$20 - Through July 31, 2026
$25 - August 1, 2026 - November 30, 2026
$30 - December 1, 2026 - January 31, 2027
$35 - February 1, 2027 - Race Day

Race Day Timeline

TBD depending on the St. Patrick's Day Festival and Parade. You can expect around an 8am start time.

Packet Pickup

Saturday, March 13, 2027 at The Running Shop from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Please do not arrive prior to 10:00 AM as The Running Shop is closed.
Sunday, March 14, 2027, at the event site. Time tbd.

Course Information

Please check back here for updated course information.

The 5K will have male and female awards for top 3 overall, top masters, and top 3 in 5-year age groups up to 80+. Awards will include The Running Shop gift certificates and other cool St Paddy's themed gifts!

5K and 1-mile registrants get a really cool, super-soft t-shirt while supplies last.

5K finishers will get a super-cool finisher medal.

There will be some fun St. Patrick's Day related goodies for all finishers.

Beneficiaries

This event benefits the Public Safety Charitable Foundation, Children of Fallen Officers who provides scholarships to local children of fallen heroes (Law enforcement, Fire, EMS, Military).
