Description
Come join us for one of the most iconic, historic and oldest races in Southern Arizona! Sabino Canyon is located in the Coronado National Forest, is one of the most beautiful desert canyons in the American southwest and a true jewel of the Tucson community. This unique 7.4 mile race is designed to capitalize on the majestic nature of Sabino Canyon to provide a unique opportunity to experience the challenges of a great race in a truly magnificent setting.
This event typically sells out and once the limit of registrations is reached, no additional registrations will be accepted. No transfers, no refunds, and no deferrals allowed. REGISTRATION CAN ONLY BE DONE ONLINE AND WILL CLOSE AT NOON ON 4/10/27 OR WHEN THE CAP IS REACHED FOR THAT DISTANCE.

PLEASE NOTE:
*Runners in the 7.4 Mile event must maintain a sub-19 minute per mile pace. Runners must arrive at the second aid station (turnaround point) at the top of the tram road at mile 3.7 within 70 minutes (6:40PM) and the third aid station at mile 5.1 within 95 minutes (7:05PM) or they will be pulled from the course. This is for safety reasons and so that our volunteers can come off the course within a reasonable time. If you are a walker and cannot maintain a pace faster than that described above, please register for the 2 mile event.

• If you think you may be out there after dark, make sure to bring at least one light source (headlamp, flashlight, etc).

Saturday, April 10, 2027 - Performance Footwear on Broadway - 9:30 AM - Noon - Please do not arrive prior to 9:30 AM. The doors will be locked prior to that time to set everything up. The first 20 minutes are always the busiest so if you can come later in the time window, that would be much appreciated.
Saturday, April 10, 2027 - At the race site - Sabino Canyon, from 4:30 PM - 5:15pm.
Course Information

The regular course is 7.4 miles long. The first 3.7 miles is generally uphill on the paved main tram road into the canyon and then runners return to the start the same way, this time enjoying the downhill miles! Make sure to stay to your right at all times, around all islands and any other obstacles like aid station tables. There are aid stations with water at miles 1.7, 3.4, and 5.1.
The 2 mile course starts at mile post 0 on the paved tram road, goes up into the canyon for 1 mile and then runners turn around and return the same way. There will be no aid station so please bring your own water.
Parking
1. Carpool, carpool, carpool!
2. Park in the main Sabino Canyon lot.
3. Park at one of the two schools just north of the entry into the main Sabino Canyon lot.
4. Please note that whether you enter Sabino Canyon by vehicle or on foot, you will have to display your National Parks pass or pay the day-use entry fee.
Awards
7.4 mile only - Awards for both male and female, top 3 overall, top masters, top 3 in 5-year age groups up to 80+ will include Performance Footwear and Summit Hut gift certificates.
7.4 mile & 2 mile - All registrants will receive a super-soft race shirt.
7.4 mile only - All finishers will receive a super-cool finisher medal.
All runners and walkers - Eegees, pizza, music, and fun at the finish line!
